Licurici 1947-1953

The first magazine for children from the communist period, appeared between 1947-1953. The first issue appeared on April 12, 1947, a weekly occurrence, with 16/20 pages. It appears until 1953 (March 18), when it changed its name to THE RED CRAVAT (on April 1, 1953). 1949: from no. 101 it changes its subtitle to school children magazine, and from no. 132 the Central Committee of the Youth Workers' Union appears as its editor. In November 1949 only one number appears (no. 132, 7 November) and from no. 133 its frequency becomes bi-monthly. 1950: from no. 146 the magazine' subtitle is magazine of the pioneers and school children. 1951: has dual numbering, it also continues the old numbering: 1(159)-24(182). Licurici will also be accompanied by a supplement: Journal of children, that later became Licurici Library.
