Romanian Military Aircrafts from World War I
Horia Stoica - Brașov Collection
The Romanian Military Aviation and its adventure during World War I still represents an unfinished puzzle. To complete it, images, archival documents, biographies and memoirs are required, but, most important, there must be some passionate and dedicated people in making this issue known.
Although books that show aspects of the era have been published, images still have the largest impact. Photos manage to capture the atmosphere of the time, but they also help identify the correct type of aircraft used. The images below often capture interesting sequences, you can see planes used for capture, aircrafts after accidents or aircrafts from the campaign against the Bolshevik (rare photos), images that speak of a past time in which aviation was seen as different.
